Pascal de Crousaz is a leading expert in International Relations with a lifelong dedication to studying and interpreting Middle Eastern politics. He has lived in, and travelled extensively throughout the region, including Iran and Israel.
Pascal holds a BA in Middle Eastern History from the University of Haifa, a Master’s and PhD in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International Studies at the University of Geneva, and a postgraduate diploma in Commerce and Administration from HEC Lausanne.
He has been at Pictet for over 25 years advising clients on navigating the challenges in the region and is a member of the Pictet Geopolitical Advisory Board.
Dr. de Crousaz also teaches at the University of Geneva’s Global Studies Institute and is a respected academic writer and commentator on Middle Eastern affairs.

Luca Paolini joined Pictet in 2012 and is responsible for coordinating the macroeconomic strategy across Pictet Asset Management, including the research and analysis that drives strategic and tactical investment perspectives of Pictet Asset Management.
He is the Chairman of the Pictet Asset Management Strategy Unit and contributing author to the monthly Barometer, our tactical asset allocation guide, Secular and Annual Outlooks.
Luca has spent his entire career advising investors on asset allocation and investment strategy. He holds a Master degree in International Economics and Management from SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan, and a Laurea Magistrale in Political Sciences from the University of Bologna.
